Waterville-William "Bill" T. Potter, Jr., 74, of Waterville passed away April 11, 2016 at his residence with his loving family at his side. He was born in Charlestown, MA. On December 18, 1941, a son of William T. and Catherine\r\n(McGonagle) Potter. Bill served his country in the U. S. Air Force and was a boiler maker for Boiler Maker Union 29 in North Quincy, MA. He enjoyed playing sports in his younger years and continued his love of sports by watching all of his favorite Boston Sports teams. Most of all, Bill loved his family. He like to BBQ at family gathering and enjoyed having his family over for Sunday dinners. Bill is predeceased by his loving wife Florence on April 3, 2015; his parents; his brother, John; sister, Catherine Novello and his cat, J. B. Jingles Bill is survived by his daughter, Robin Bickford and her husband, Blaine of Waterville; four sons, William T. Potter III and his wife Eva of Waterville, Leo P. Potter and his wife Ellen of Colorado Springs, CO, Richard A. Potter and his wife Valerie of Fairfield and Charles F. Potter and his wife Elizabeth of Sidney; three sister, Helen Peneau of Billerica, MA, Louise Potter of Charlestown, MA and Therese English and husband John of Braintree, MA; 23 grandchildren,\r\n4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephew. He also will be missed by his buddy and companion, his dog, Blue. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 2-4 pm and an Elks Club Memorial Service will be held at 3 pm at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street, Waterville.
