Madison Terry James Bernard, 58, of Rowell St., died unexpectedly at his residence, Wed. Nov. 16, 2005. He was born in Waterville, Sept. 30, 1947 the son of Phillip and Cecile Bernard. Mr. Bernard had served in the U.S. Army doing active duty in Vietnam. Being a Vietnam Veteran, he was a member of the Forest Pare Post VFW in Waterville. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. He had delivered Meals on Wheels in the Bingham area. He will be remembered for helping family members in their time of need. He enjoyed playing cribbage, hunting with his sons, oil painting, gardening, carpentry, cooking bread and spending time with his favorite dog, ''Brittany''. He loved his grandson. He was predeceased by his father and a sister, Patricia Semus. He is survived by his wife, Mary Bernard of Madison; three sons, Anthony Bernard of Waterville, Terry J. Bernard II of Fairfield, and Shane Breton of Winslow; a daughter, Misty Bernard of Winslow; by his mother, Cecile Tardiff of Waterville; two step-daughters, Debra Palmer of Montville and Roberta Robbins of Skowhegan; two brothers and their wives, Roger and Janice Bouchard of Oregon and Ronald and Karen Bouchard of CT.; four sisters and their husbands, Nancy and Jim Boulette, Jackie Grenier, Brenda and Lee Hawkins all of Waterville and Cindy and Robert Delile of Winslow; five grandchildren, Kaythyn, Gabrielle, Chantelle, Mariah, and Devon; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18th at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Sat., Nov. 19th at Notre Dame Church, 112 Silver St., Waterville. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove St., Waterville. A luncheon will be offered in the church hall after services.
