Paul F. Olson, 76, died peacefully at Inland Hospital on September 25, 2008. Paul graduated with B.S., Masters and C.A.S. degrees in Special Education from the University of Maine system. He taught vocational and special education in the Waterville and Fairfield school districts for many years. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. He loved spending time with his family and most of all, Barbara, his wife of 57 years who was the love of his life. Paul will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father and as a passionate and dedicated educator. He was known for his integrity, dry wit and love of practical jokes. Paul was recently predeceased by his wife, Barbara. He is survived by his children: Cheryl Brown and her husband, Gary, of Manchester, NH; Karen Bartlett and her husband, Bill, of Lisbon, CT; Paula Olson of Waterville; Eric Olson and his wife, Mary, and son, Garrett, of Waterville; Marianne Nieto and husband, Jorge, of San Diego, CA; other grandchildren, Kim, Nathan, Ehren and Sophia; and great grandchildren, Mikayla, Abbie and Eli. The family wishes to sincerely thank Dr. Rhonda Kroll, the staffs of Inland Hospital and Beacon Hospice and special family friend, Lynette, for their wonderful and compassionate care.
