Lauri Darnell Pierce Michaud, 54 of Sidney, left this earth unexpectedly Sat., Jan. 19, 2013 and was reunited with her loving Savior. She was born in Chicago, IL. Mar. 1, 1958 the daughter of Janet Grammar Pierce. She grew up in Kansas and Redding, CT. where she graduated from Joel Barlow High School. Lauri went on to further her studies and graduated from Villanova University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and UCLA with a Masters in Adult/Pediatric Oncology. She worked as an Advanced Practice RN in Calif. and ran the Brevard County Mobile Clinic for the Poor Indigents before her retirement due to illness of cervical dystonia along with cervical and thoracic alkalizing spondylosis, osteoarthritis in her spine. Lauri, like a pebble dropped on the surface of a lake and creating ripples, touched the lives of many people who loved and adored her. She was a kind and gentle soul with a loving and generous heart, always willing to help those less fortunate. She had a great fondness for animals and an unwavering faith in Jesus. Lauri will be greatly missed by her family and friends, but more so by her beloved husband, Todd Michaud whom she married Aug. 19th, 2006; her brother-in-law, Scott Michaud; mother-in-law and husband, Lorraine and Harry Belliveau; and daughter, Brianna Kissel. Lauri was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Cristo and sister, Kelly Pierce Giddings. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date and will be announced.
