Belgrade Kenneth Stanley Savasuk, 60, of Rainbow Road, passed away peacefully at home after a short illness. He was born Dec. 24, 1946 in Waterville the son of Frederick and Madore Labrasseau Savasuk. He attended Waterville High School and obtained his GED. He served in the U.S. Navy and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He had been a lineman for Central Maine Power Company for several years. Survivors include his wife, Donna V. Davis Savasuk of Belgrade; two sons, Jason Savasuk of Smithfield and Keith Savasuk of Belgrade; a daughter, Michelle Getchell of Augusta; step-daughter, Heather Purvis of Biddeford; a step-son, Brent Ladd of Limerick; two brothers, Michael Savasuk of Cumberland and Paul Savasuk of Fairfield; a sister, Sheila Davies of Dixson, CA; eight grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. Donations in his memory may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Assoc. of America, 622 Congress St., Portland, ME 04101. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007 in Pine Grove Cemetery, Cemetery Road off Route 135 in Belgrade. Arrangements are with the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville.
