Waterville Joseph A.R. Poissonnier, 73, of Elm St., died Nov. 25, 2006 at Veterans Administration Hospital at Togus. He was born in Frenchville, Feb. 18, 1933, a son of Helaire and Laura Roy Poissonnier. Joseph was a high school graduate and served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. He had been a cab driver in the Waterville area for many years. Survivors include his two daughters, Darlene A. Poissonnier and Anne McCormick and her husband Thomas all of Waterville; his girlfirend, Hazel Hawes of Waterville; two brothers, Lionel Poissonnier and his wife Irene of Anson and Clarence Poissonnier of Jay; and by many neices and nephews. Visiting hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28 at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Wed., Nov. 29, at Notre Dame Church, 112 Silver St., Waterville. Burial will be in the new Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Rd., Augusta.
