SPRING HILL, FL- Jolene Patricia Poulin Houle passed away March 30th in Spring Hill, Florida. Born April 3, 1934 in Winslow, Maine, she was the daughter of Lucien Poulin and Lucille Belanger Poulin. On July 4, 1956, Jolene married Carroll James Houle. Together they raised three daughters: Karen, Kathy and Kimberly. Jolene always said this was her most important accomplishment. The family spent many wonderful summers on China Lake and for the past seventeen years Jolene has likewise treasured her time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren at their beachfront condo on Old Orchard Beach. In recent years, winters in Spring Hill, Florida have been a source of new adventure and enjoyment. Jolene delighted in journaling these events at both the beach and in Florida. Jolene was blessed with a beautiful singing voice and fostered an appreciation of music in her daughters. Loved and cherished by her family, she will be deeply missed. Jolene is survived by her beloved husband Carroll Houle; daughters Karen Bolduc and husband David of Davidson, N.C., Kathy M. Yantakosol and husband Pon of Cape Elizabeth, and Kimberly LaMarre and husband Anthony of Freeport; five grandchildren Kristin Bolduc of Raleigh, N.C., Sarah Yantakosol Gayer and husband Daniel of Cape Elizabeth, Matthew Yantakosol of Cape Elizabeth, and Evan and Lily LaMarre of Freeport; and her aunt and uncle, Theresa and Harold Michaud of Winslow. At Jolenes request, there will be no visiting hours. A Memorial service will be held Mon., apr. 6, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 26 Monument St., Winslow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her memory may be made to Children's Home for Little Wanderers, Silver St., Waterville, ME 04901 or to Goodwill Hinckley, Hinckley, ME 04944 Arrangements are with the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville.
