Winslow Henry J. Drouin, 90, of Halifax St., died Thurs., Mar. 24, 2005 at MaineGeneral Med. Ctr. in Waterville. He was born in Dexter, May 9, 1914, the son of Albert and Victoria Chayer Drouin. He had been a Security Guard at the former Rich's Dept. Store in Waterville for 12 years. Prior to that he was employed as a loom fixer at the former Wyandotte Mill in Waterville for 47 years where he was a Union Member . In his younger years, he enjoyed fly fishing in Jackman with his sons, Ronnie and Roland. He liked to fish for white perch with Carrol Chayer and grandsons. He did smelting and ice fishing locally in China Lake and other ponds with his son Ronnie. He loved sitting in his outdoor swing watching birds in the feeder. He enjoyed daily drives up to a week ago. He enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox win their first world series title and also the New England Patriots in their victories in the Super Bowls. He lived the majority of his life in Winslow before living with his daughter, Theresa in Vassalboro the past 11 months. He spent endless hours with pride taking care of his front lawn. He took many trips with his grandsons to sporting events. He was predeceased by his parents and his wife, Lucille R. Dubois Drouin who died Feb. 9, 1998; two sisters, Angelina Labrie and Dorothy Rodrigue both of Winslow; and a grandson, Kevin Drouin;his special friend and cousin, Carrol Chayer. Survivors include his two sons, Ronald ''Ronnie'' H. Drouin of Winslow and his children, Michael, Karen, and Jamie Drouin all of Maine and Mark of Mass.; and Roland E. Drouin and wife Janet of North Vassalboro and their daughter, Shelly Cunningham and husband Shawn of Conn.;two daughters, Joanne Sadlo of Fairfield and her daughter Melanie Cabral of Maine; her three sons, Sean Sadlo of Waterville, Kyle Burns of Norridgewock and Todd Burns of CA. and Theresa L. Dumont and husband Stephen of Vassalboro and their sons, Derek Dumont and his fiance Darcy and Lance and his companion Kim;and Henry's special companion ''JJ'' the cat. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wed., Mar. 30, 2005 at St. John the Baptist Church, 47 Monument St., Winslow with Rev. Philip Tracy officiating. Committal prayers and burial will be in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Waterville at a later date.
