Donald A. Gorneau 63, passed away early Friday morning June 6, 2014 at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Maine with his family by his bedside. He was born in Waterville, Maine on July 19, 1950 the son of Albert and Alida Quirion Gorneau, and was educated in local school system and was a graduate of Thomas College here in Waterville with a Bachelor's Degree. He was formerly employed for several years as a manufacturing supervisor for F.H.C. Don was an avid sports fan and enjoyed attending his boy's sport games. He also liked playing golf and enjoyed the time playing cribbage with his father and meeting friends at the Point Afta Restaurant in Winslow. He is survived by his wife Belinda Harding Gorneau and his three sons: Derek Gorneau, James Gorneau and Albert Gorneau and wife Holly all of Winslow. Also by three grandchildren: Lillian, Jordan and Nicholas Gorneau all of Winslow and by his special cousin Wilma Carey of Winslow and her daughter Sheila Pomerleau of Belgrade and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Visitation with family members will be from 7-9 p.m. Tuesday evening, June 10, 2014 at the Gallant Funeral Home 10 Elm Street Waterville. A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 70 Pleasant Street, Waterville followed by committal prayers and burial in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove Street, Waterville.
