Waterville, Maine -Dolores M. Withee, 69, passed away Thursday morning, Oct. 24, 2013, at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor with her family at her bedside. She was born in Camden, New Jersey on May 12, 1944 the daughter of Horace W. and Edna Beebe Dobbins. She has joined her loving husband Edward W. Withee , Sr. whom she had waited the past 43 years to be with him. She was also predeceased by her parents, her sisters and brothers and a granddaughter Angel. Dolores has left behind her children, Edward W. Withee , Jr. of Waterville; Terese Withee and her fianc Gary Hanson of Pittsfield and Patricia Grenier and husband Kerry of Waterville with whom she lived with; and her adopted daughter from Gloucester, New Jersey , Cathy and her husband Bernie Dubois and all her family from Gloucester City, New Jersey and Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Also by many grandchildren, Edward Withee III and his daughter Marissa; Matthew Withee and wife Evelyn and their three children, Maximus, Debra and Stella.; William Withee of Waterville, Brandie Withee and fianc Shawn Haney, Christian and Amanda Grenier of Waterville. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. On her husband's side, she was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law.; two sisters-in-law, Marion and Virginia and three brothers-in-law, Clyde, David and Gerry. She is survived by many sisters and brothers-in-law, especially Judy Turgeon who was not just a sister-in-law but a friend; also by many nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews. Dolores loved having time with family and friends, shopping with her daughters, loved playing with grandchildren and great grandchildren, doing fill-in puzzle books, watching television, going to the Maine Rockland Lobster Festival, beano, crocheting , traveling in Maine and USA. Her favorite last trip taken was to Honolulu, Hawaii. Dolores was formerly employed as a textile worker for woolen mills in Maine as a spinner for many years and was a union member. She was a member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary in Waterville for many years and was a former president for two years. Relatives and friends may call at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm Street Waterville on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. A graveside service and burial will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery, 78 Grove Street in Waterville with Pastor Bill Cripe officiating.
