Celina J. Vintinner WATERVILLE -- Our mother, wife, sister, aunt, memere and friend, Mrs. Celina J. Vintinner, 76, was received into the arms of her Savior and into eternity on Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, following a lingering bout with cancer, at Inland Hospital where she had been employed for many years. She was born Feb. 1, 1934, the daughter of Calixte and Sophronia Poulin Michaud in Winslow. She attended Winslow schools. She held various jobs in the Waterville area; her greatest job involved her love of cooking, a job she loved and performed especially in nursing homes in the area. She especially loved cooking for the elderly who were confined to these facilities. She will be remembered for her amazing fried rice, fabulous tourtire pies, as well as countless other foods that delighted her family and friends. She enjoyed Friday-night happy hours with the girls. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Thomas and her children, Tammy Ferland Dixon of Norridgewock, Jodi Vintinner of Norridgewock, Chad Vintinner of Skowhegan and Brad Vintinner of Waterville; her granddaughter, Samantha Vintinner, and grandson Caleb S.T. Gogan of Waterville; stepsons James Vintinner of Oakland, David Vintinner of Auburn and Darryl Vintinner of Clinton; one brother, Reginald J. Michaud of Benton; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; four brothers, Alfred ''Donald,'' Bernard, Robert and Kenneth Michaud. The family extends a special thank-you to Stacy, Michelle and folks at Beacon Hospice. A private graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 23, in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove St., Waterville, with the Rev. Jacques Dolbec officiating. A Mass will be held at the Blessed Sacrament at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Celina Vintinner's name may be made to the Humane Society Waterville Area, 100 Webb Road, Waterville, ME 04901. Arrangements are with the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville.
