Waterville Thomas Armitage, 78, of Patriots Drive, died Thurs., Jan. 05, 2006 at MaineGeneral Med. Ctr. in Waterville. He was born in Huddersfield, England, Nov. 25, 1927, the son of Sam and Edith Armitage. Mr. Armitage had attended Technical College in England. He had been a textile engineer for Cascade Woolen Mill in Oakland for several years. He was a member of the Oakland Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Renee Howitt Armitage of Waterville; a son, Howard Armitage of Warwick, R.I.; a sister, Molly Battye of Canada; two brothers, Sam and Jack Armitage of Huddersfield, England, and by a grandson, Kirk Armitage. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wed., Jan. 11, at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville with Rev. Mr. Peter Joseph officiating. There will be no visiting hours at the funeral home.
