Priscilla Esther Fletcher Obituary (1930 - 2005)

Winslow Sat. June 4, 2005, Priscilla Esther Walker Fletcher peacefully entered into eternal rest surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Woburn, MA Dec. 19, 1930, a daughter of Jay A. and Marion Cromwell Walker. She grew up and attended schools in Lewiston. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern star. She leaves her loyal and supportive husband of 56 years, Richard M. Fletcher, Sr. Priscilla worked for 23 years at Hannaford, Inc. retiring in Feb. 2004. She also worked with her husband in a family owned business. She was active in various organizations including Exchangettes of Waterville, Little League of Winslow and Cub Scouts. Priscilla is survived by two sons, Richard M. Fletcher, Jr. and wife Tamara of Winslow and Scott W. Fletcher and wife Tina of Pittsfield; two daughters, Katherine A. Badone and husband Robert of Westfield, MA and Nancy L. Morrell and husband Stephen of Brunswick; brothers, Jay A. Walker and wife Cheryl of Fairfield, Robert Walker and wife Ellen of Jefferson, John Walker and wife Diane of Sabattus; sisters, Helen Morrill of Auburn, Phyllis Splain of Sabattus, Jean Tarr and husband Loyd of Hazardville, CT, Jane Sloat and husband Merlyn of Auburn, Barbara Lyman and husband Harland of Greene; eleven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Her family was the joy of her existence. She enjoyed family gatherings, trips to Foxwoods, and trips to the many places she loved on the Maine coast. She and her husband also took many trips with her siblings and their spouses to the Bahamas. Other hobbies she enjoyed included knitting and reading. She will be missed by her family and her many friends. There are no calling hours. A celebration of her life memorial service will be held Sat. morning, June 11, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Faith Evangelical Free Church, Kennedy Memorial Drive, Waterville.
