Matthew James Savinelli Obituary (1978 - 2013)

Matthew James Savinelli, 35, of Waterville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 29, 2013. He was born in West Haven, CT., Apr. 11, 1978 the son of Thomas and Candace Chase Savinelli. He attended Hamden Hall Country Day School in Hamden, CT. and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in the Arts of Interdisciplinary Studies with a minor in Forensic Science at the University of Maine at Augusta. He served a short time in the U.S. Air Force. Matthew loved working at his local bakery, Holy Cannoli. He also loved science, animals, fishing, music and the arts. Matthew was predeceased by his grandparents, Louis and Lilly Savinelli and Kendrick E. Chase. He leaves behind a loving brother, Jonathan; a grandmother, Erla Chase; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M. Sat. July 6, 2013 at the First United Pentecostal Church, 8 Wilson Court, Augusta. A reception will follow at Holy Cannoli, 72 Main St., Waterville.
