Joseph Arthur Theriault Obituary (1922 - 2008)

Waterville, Maine Joseph Arthur Theriault 86 went to be with his Father in Heaven, Friday October 31, 2008 with his family by his side. He was born in Chelsea, Mass. on March 19, 1922 the son of Nelson and Lillian Moran Theriault. He was a World War II veteran serving 3 1/2 years on the heavy cruiser, the U.S.S. Baltimore in the Pacific area. Joe was a tailor by trade, and worked 32 years for Sterns Dept. Store and 12 years for Levine's Clothing Store here in Waterville. He was a Little League and Babe Ruth manager for many years. Joe enjoyed gardening, working outdoors, traveling and spending time with his family that he loved dearly. He liked to watch the Red Sox and Celtics games on T.V. with his beloved wife at his side. Joe is survived by his beloved wife Marie of 61 plus years. His son Jeffrey Joseph Theriault and his wife Vicki, daughter Irene Marie Torezan, grandchildren Brittney and Michael Theriault and Matthew Torezan. His brother Les Theriault of York,Maine ; A sister Lorraine Marks of Scottsville,Kentucky and many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was a member of the Worldwide Church of God in Bangor, Maine for many years. Visiting hours will be from 5-7 P.M. on Tuesday evening at the Gallant Funeral Home 10 Elm Street Waterville, Maine. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 A.M. at the Funeral Home with Pastor James Cook officiating. Interment will be at the Dutch Neck Cemetery in Waldoboro, Maine following the service.
