John Wilson, Sr. Obituary (1932 - 2005)

San Pedro, New Mexico Please insert the American Flag! John Wilson, Sr., 72, died Jan. 31, 2005 in the V.A. Medical Center in Albuquerque, N.M. He was born in Bell City, Missouri, Mar. 9, 1932, the son of John and Verle Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a graduate of Thomas College in Waterville, ME. He had served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1961 and received the rank of Staff Sergeant . He made donuts for Harris Bakery in Waterville for many years. He was a member of the Bourque-Lanigan Post #5 American Legion and Forest J. Pare VFW in Waterville. He was predeceased by his parents and by his wife, Minnie Nemer Wilson who died Apr. 6, 1995. Survivors include a son, John Wilson, Jr. of Santa Monica, CA.; two daughters, Rebecca Sue McCarthy and husband James of Waterville and Elizabeth Ann Wilson of Waterville; three sisters, Betsy White, Mary Mechem, and Alice Mayberry all of Missouri; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; some nieces and nephews; and by two sisters-in-law, Yvonne and Theresa Nemer both of Waterville and a brother-in-law, Maroon Nemer of Skowhegan. Friends and relatives may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 6, at Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Mon. at the First Baptist Church, Park St., Waterville with Rev. Mark Kafkas officiating. Committal prayes and burial will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Fr.
