Janet G. York Obituary (1955 - 2011)

Waterville Janet G. York, 55 of Silver Place, died Jan. 1, 2011 from an apartment fire. She was born in Waterville, Sept. 10, 1955, the daughtr of Eben and Elizabeth Dunning Foss. Janet was a high school graduate. She enjoyed craft work, country music, Elvis music, and soap operas. She is survived by her mother, Elizabeth Foss of Rome; her significant other, Robert ''Bruno'' Pomerleau of Waterville; two daughters, Elizabeth York of Benton and Christina York of Waterville; four brothers, Richard Foss, Sr. of Canaan, Randy Foss of KY, Stevie and Gary Foss both of Rome; two sisters, Audrey Foss of Wales and Hazel Labbe of Belgrade; one granddaughter, Paige Galvin; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thurs. Jan. 6, 2011 at the Rome Baptist Church with Pastor Earl Meola officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville to help defray funeral expenses.
