Heather Flewelling Obituary (1924 - 2013)

Gorham, Maine Heather Flewelling, 88, died Thursday January 3, 2012 at the Gorham House in Gorham, Maine. She was born in Fairfield, Maine on December 19, 1924 the daughter of J. Ernest and Josephine Quirion Boucher. She was educated in Fairfield schools and was a graduate of Lawrence High School. Heather was a women of strong faith and very active in church related groups including St. Mark's Episcopal Church and Holy Trinity Anglican Church. She was also deeply involved with family and treasured her friendship with friends. Heather was an example of a true and spiritual character and loved to sing to music and study the arts. Her children took after her in explaining their value of faith and spirituality to others. She was predeceased by her first husband, James Carroll Blunt and her second husband, Carroll Dean Flewelling. and her two brothers, J. Alfred Boucher and J. Armand Boucher. She is survived by her two daughters, Nancy Carol Kavanagh of Winslow and Mary Angela Blunt Emerson of Gorham; four grandchildren, Alyssa Heather Kavanagh Planeta and her husband, Nicholas of Cambridge, MA., Samuel David Emerson, William Paul Emerson and Kiera Hoi Emerson all of Gorham. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville with the Deacon in charge of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Rev. Mr. Edwin Kalish.
