Freda N. Buker Obituary (1920 - 2007)

Waterville Freda N. Buker On Apr. 25, 1920, God sent his Angel, Freda to Sadie and Ferris Nimon and lived a good life with her siblings, Norman, Joseph and John. On Aug. 18, 2007, God brought Freda back home to Heaven where she now resides. Freda lived a life of elegant simplicity and was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a lady of deep faith and conviction in her Catholic religion and was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was kind, thoughtful, caring and loving in spirit and will be sadly missed by everyone. She was happiest when she was with family members and loved visiting and supporting them over many years. She was an avid Bingo player, enjoyed music and traveling. She is predeceased by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her three children, George and his wife Cathy; Sandra Paulette; Joyce Stewart and her husband Jim; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and by many other family members and friends. Freda retired from Keyes Fibre Co. in 1983 after 37 years of faithful service. The family would like to thank Drs. Lisa and Ronnie Marrache, and the many care-givers at Oak Grove Living Center and MaineGeneral Medical Center, Thayer Unit for their compassionate, kind, and thoughtful care. Visiting hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007 at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wed., Aug. 22, 2007 at St. Joseph's Maronite Catholic Church, Front St., Waterville. After cremation there will be a committal service at 10 a.m. Fri., Aug. 24, 2007 at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, Grove St., Waterville.
