Fernande M. Arsenault Obituary (1923 - 2010)

Winslow Fernande M. Arsenault, 86, of Halifax St., passed away peacefully surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, Sunday, Aug. 15, 2010 at her residence. She was the widow of Clarence J. Arsenault who died July 01, 2001. She was born in Winslow Nov. 4, 1923, the daughter of Ephumier and Melvina Gignac Theriault. Mrs. Arsenault was a lifetime member of the Macrillis Rousseau Post VFW Auxiliary. She did volunteering at Togus and nursing homes. She sang in folk groups and the choir at St. John the Baptist Church. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, Roseann Boutin, Lorraine Bolduc, Irene Huard, Dot Audet, and with Cecile Quirion before she passed away. The family extends special thanks to the HealthReach Hospice Nursing staff. Survivors include her son, David Arsenault of Winslow; five daughters and their husbands, Elaine and Larry Audet of N.C., Sharon Bouchard , Mary and Herbert Ferran, Cathy and Steve Nadeau, and Melinda and Peter Nelson all of Winslow; two brothers, Valmont and Peter Theriault both of Waterville; grandchildren, Kim Ware, Kelley Craig, Brian Audet, Stephen Arsenault, Danielle Bouchard, Amanda Watts, Christian Arsenault, Ryan, Kristy, and Michael Ferran, Matthew and Meaghan Nelson, and Kevin Nadeau; great-grandchildren, Morgan and Molly Ware, Sarah Bouchard, Hannah Craig, Ebony Watts, Brittany Cookson, David, Ashley, Faith and Justin Audet and John Bouchard; and by many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wed., Aug. 18, 2010 at the Gallant Funeral Home, 10 Elm St., Waterville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wed. at St. John the Baptist Church, 26 Monument St., Winslow. Committal prayers and burial will follow in St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 78 Grove St., Waterville. There will be a reception at the Winslow VFW hall following the service.
