Cecile R. Michaud Obituary (1926 - 2013)

Waterville-Cecile R. Michaud, 86, of Waterville, died Thursday, February 14, 2013 at MaineGeneral Medical Center Waterville. She was born in Waterville on March 18, 1926, the daughter of Francis and Alma Morin Reny. Cecile graduated from Waterville High School, Class of 1944. She was employed in the administration office of the Maine Criminal Justice Academy. Cecile was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Winslow V.F.W. Post 8835. She like doing crafts, taken business course in night school and was a Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. Most of all she enjoyed being with her children and grandchildren. Cecile was predeceased by her husband, Joseph H. A. "Albert" Michaud on March 27, 1997; daughter, Gloria Cormier and husband, Donald, her sisters, Priscilla and Gloria, her brother, Leo, whom was killed in WWII and daughter in law, Sally Michaud. Cecile is survived by sons, Douglas Michaud and partner, Margo Rowen of St. Petersburg, FL, James Michaud of Laconia, NH; daughters, Nancy Michaud and partner Kyle Daigle of Winslow, Pat Oliver and husband, Alton of South China; sister, Yvette Begin of Winslow; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Monday, February 18, 2013 at Notre Dame Church, 112 Silver St., Waterville with Rev. Joseph Daniels, as Celebrant. Burial will be in the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Augusta in the spring.
