C. Patrick Michaud Obituary (1938 - 2013)

WATERVILLE C. Patrick Michaud, 75, resident of Fairfield, Maine, passed away after a brief illness on Friday, November 8, with his family by his side. Born July 14, 1938 in Island Falls, Maine, Patrick graduated from Island Falls High School, attended Aroostook State Teachers College, and graduated from Gorham State Teachers College with a degree in music. Early in his career he worked as a music teacher in the Millinocket, MSAD No. 4, Winslow, and MSAD No. 47 school systems, and for the last 41 years he owned and operated Michaud's Piano Tuning & Repair Service. He was predeceased by his parents, Eleric and Laura Berger Michaud, his brother Francis Michaud, and his sister Reida Krantz. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Laura Lennon Michaud; his son Michael Michaud and wife Pamela Dery Michaud of Presque Isle, Maine; his daughter Linda Michaud Peters and husband Brian Peters of Houston, Texas; his son Joe Michaud and wife Kelly Negrete Michaud of Exeter, New Hampshire; and his son C. Patrick Michaud II and wife Sarah Woehler Michaud of Oakland, Maine. He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Nicole Michaud Moody and her husband Craig Moody; Lindsay Michaud; Kelsey Michaud; Sean Michaud; Ryan Michaud; Quin Peters; and Brianne Peters; and five nephews. Patrick had a life-long love of music. As a teacher, musician, and piano tuner his love for music was surpassed only by his faith in God and his love for his family. A private memorial service is planned. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Patrick's memory to Inland Hospital, 200 Kennedy Memorial Drive, Waterville, ME 04901 or a charity of one's choice.
